We give some concrete tips to reach five important types of travelers.
Let the room adapt to the hotel guest, not the other way around.
Hotel guests have different expectations of their stay. To be able to meet them olika wishes that exist, it is important to find ways to create flexible rooms that can be easily adapted to the hotel guest's needs and wishes. It is better that the room adapts to the hotel guest is the other way around. A clear example is the need for beds that vary from customer type to customer type. 1. THE FAMILY
Families with children (Active Family) almost exclusively visit hotels before free periods such as weekends, holidays and vacations. Often there is some event or attraction in the resort that attracts them. After a day of activities, there is often a need for comfortable beds or sofas to rest before the evening's restaurant visit. It is also not uncommon to have several sets of clothes with you. Good storage places are appreciated to avoid having to dig through suitcases when the children's trousers have become dirty.

2. THE BUSINESS TRAVELER
If families with children are hotel guests who usually visit hotels on free periods and weekends, it is common for business travelers on weekdays. It could be a fair or similar that attracts the business traveler or it could be a customer visit. Regardless, it is often early mornings, which means that it is important to have comfortable beds and good breakfast options. The possibility of being able to sit at a desk to compile the day's meetings can also be appreciated.
Tips to attract the business traveler

- Access to good WiFi or data outlets (note that some companies do not allow their staff to connect to open WiFi networks for security reasons)
- Workplace with space for a laptop

3. THE FRIEND GROUP
A group of travelers that has become increasingly common are some we call "the gang of friends". A number of people who go to rock concerts, football matches and the like. Often the price is a deciding factor so the actual hotel stay is not their main focus. Here, it is important to be able to offer several beds in the same room and good space for clothes, as the room has to accommodate several adults. Note that this target group is not as dependent on the season as it is often events that control travel.

4. WHOPs (Wealthty, Healthy Older People)
A group of hotel guests that has increased in recent years are pensioners and the elderly who like to travel in pairs or groups. These hotel guests have different reasons for their trips, but often it is an attraction or an event that attracts them. Nature and culture are also common reasons for the trip.
Comfy beds and a sense of everyday luxury with a good hotel breakfast are important to attract this group. How well-travelled one is varies widely in this group, which is why a feeling of being taken care of also contributes positively to the visit.

This group of hotel guests is similar to WHOPs but often has a greater travel habit. What attracts the hotel visit are often concerts and other cultural events.
